PBR Brakes for a '89 Aussie 9bolt Rear in '91RS

Where can I get some aluminum PBR rear disc calipers for a 9 bolt Aussie rear end. Its going in my '91, it has drum brakes on it now. I would also like to get some aluminum PBR calipers for the front too? Anyone know anything about this? Is there a company that sells them or do I have to order them from a dealership, if they still have any? Or does anyone knows a site that sells them used? Thanks, Bobby

get yourself a 93-97 disk rear. they have the system you are looking for. be SURE to get the E brake cables also. thats a must. your exsisting cables wont work.
or shop around the bone yards for the brakes only. the PBRs are the same on a 10 bolt as a 9 bolt. the diff is where the back plate mounts to te axle housing, not where the calipers mount to the plate.

pbr

Get the pbr fronts from Ed Miller, I believe you allready have the 1le prop. valve for drums so keep that, that is good for extra fluid pressure in the rear to actually have the rears work. Just rebuild the rears if you find some and order the c4's and you'll be happy.

Here a side by side pic of the front and rear pbr's

You'll need 3rd gen 10 bolt backing plates to make them fit, but buy the '93-97 brake setup from these guys:

Everything you'll need except the brake cables and backing plates.

ebmiller88, you spoke of the 3ed gen 10 bolt backing plates. I am now running the rear end that came in the car. It has rear drum brakes. I am buying a Aussie 9bolt rear end(from a '89 Formula350) with 3.70 gears and limited slip. It had rear disc on it from the factory. Now the 9bolt has Baer brake mounting plates. The plates your talking about, would I get any '88-'92 rear disc plates? The plate is or isn't different for a 9bolt and a 10bolt? I will be installing this rear disc setup on the '89 9bolt rear end. $250 seems to be a good deal, thanks for that website. Thanks, Bobby

Damn double posts...

Ok, now I get it. If it has the Baer plates on it, you should be fine as the Baer plates, at least those I've seen, will work. If you buy that kit from T/A Creations, you'll just have a set of 4th gen plates to use as paperweights.

Do those "Baer" plates look like these? If so, you're good. $250 is a good deal, IMO. There is a difference in 9 and 10 bolt plates, but you seem to not need them anyway.
