Torque Arm removal

Torque Arm removal
with the car on its wheels is there a load on the Torque Arm? i want to remove the stock one. but dont want to take my head off doing it.
is there any thing special i need to know?

Unbolt it from the tranny end first and then unbolt it from the rear.
BTW of all the thridgen's I've worked on doing tranny work (ummm I've lost count) I never noticed that much force ona torque arm. WIth the rear on the ground or just them hanging in mid air. :shrug:

Yeah, there is not much force being applied to the torque arm while you car is just sitting there. When I replaced mine, I had my car on jack stands, but the rear end was hanging so I could lift and lower it to help me remove the torque arm.
