Welding in Steering Brace/Wonderbar
I was wondering if anyone has welded their brace to the car. I was thinking that this would be just as good as having welded SFC's as opposed to bolt in ones. As far as I can see there would be nothing to get in the way or would be impossible to remove if I welded mine in. I was also wondering if anyone has tried this and if it helps any. Is it worth the trouble???

Mine is just tack welded on each side- I welded about a 1/4" bead on each side with the chassis stagnant on the ground and bolts tightened down. I can still grind off the welds to remove the bar if ever necessary. I did it so the bolts heads would not have to bare the force af the steering box stress on the frame.This is strictly precautionary- The bolts seem to hold O.K. though
I also have another top side brace in front of the engine that also supports the frame rails just behind the steering box. Both together made the steering more responsive at turn-ins. You won't notice a thing unless the rest of the front end is built. There are too many stock parts that flex including tires.
