i have had the car for 2 yrs. I have put new front and rear rotors, calipers, pads, master cylinder,brake booster, parking brake cablrs(GM) and my brakes dont work any better than when i bought the car.The parking brakes dont work, if i jack the car up put the car in drv the brakes wont even hold the wheels in drive! i dont know what else.Proportioning valve? the rubber brake lines?
i dont know what else to do, id hate to take it to a mechanic, i havnt had a mechanic work on my car in 12 yrs. Please help somebody knows something that could help.

Rear calipers are crap. Either rebuild them or swap to the '89-up 12" PBR rear brakes.

Here is a link to my brake pics. I had the same problem you did before rebuilding my rears, installing Ed's c4 brake kit and changing the prop. valve. The stock valve isn't a s good as the 1le vavle for rear line pressure.

get that recall kit mentioned above, even rebuilt calipers dont come with it so u need it, its $35, its easy and its very effective, i just did mine 2 months ago. Id almost bet money thats your problem.
