Traction problem
I own an 87 gta. It has a shift kit and a 3:73 rear end. I cannot get the tires to stick and launch the car. I dont really have that thing they call "money" but i would like to know if i would need traction bars or not?

since our cars don't have leaf springs, we don't really use 'traction bars' chances are a set of relocation brackets, and sticky tires would make a big diffrence for you though. people often forget to bring up tires when we talk about traction. no matter how good your suspension is, all the power still goes through the tires.

does that mean traction bars are out of the question?
I was thinking of old mustangs and chevelles when i pictured traction bars.
Tires are a big help, but who has the money? Slicks are not too bad, but i cant use those on the street.

You might want to consider Mickey Thompson ET Streets or BFG Drag Radials. Either of those will help you hook and can be used on the street.
