Can brakes be too cold?
I'm installing a homemade set of brake cooling ducts behind my Trenz Billet Grill on the car and it's getting cold here, so my question is it bad to have the brakes be too cold?

I don't think that ducting air to your brakes will have a negative effect on them. Brakes tend to heat up rather quickly especially when coming down from speed. Since there wouldn't be that much airflow pushed over them unless you were traveling fast, it shouldn't make that much of a difference. In fact its probably better, because brake fade and the like usually occurs because the rotor becomes overheated and warps.

our brakes still function in places far colder than the coldest day in florida, i really don't think you will have a problem, or really see any gains on it, unless you are pushing the car to the point of brake fade.

I agree with NJITIROC on that one! But I also have to say that I had some performance friction z-rated pads that didn't grab too well until they got warm. Ususally a few stop signs did it, but it was still noticable. If you have normal street pads in Florida I would say you are thinking too much. But if you have some pads that like to be warm, and live in a colder place, then issues may occur. Besides, if you do have some problems you can always cap off the tubes for these colder months!
