installation

I've searched the history files, can't find answer. should the car be in the air or weight on wheels when installing sway bar bushing and end links.....and why?

i always try to tighten the endlinks with the suspension loaded.

i always do this to make sure that you don't end up with undo stress or bind somewhere, i do this for all supsension bushings.

not sure it matters that much, but it only seems logical the loaded would be the better way to do it

because if its loaded, it will ensure everything will be tight you when you start ridding away and at the standard angles.

yes, i don't know that it is that important on the sway bar links, due to the motion, my only thought on it is this.

when the rear end is hanging down, the sway bar is at an angle compared to the endlink, if you tighten it to spec here, then set the car down, and the sway bar becomes paralell with the endlink it will releve some of the 'pressure' preload or whatever you want to call it (i don't know the exact term in this case) and you will actualy have the endlink installed very loosly.
