Performance package Swap easy???
is it easy to swap to performance package brake (only galiper pads and rotor)front and rear or evrithing else wont fit because the performance package have one piston more and the core to exchange the stock galiper to the performance package is onli 20$can should i do the change and my car donent seem to brake at all and evrithing is new is it really normal for a heavy car i alreaddy avec the four disk ws-6 package?
Switching to the performance package, or 1le brakes up front is a great improvement to your car's overall braking peformance, but it's definitely not a free or easy lunch moneywise. You've already got the correct setup for the rear, which is good, but it's usually in the neighborhood of $800 to $1000 to get the front brakes changed over to 1le by the time everything's said and done. You can get all the pieces you need from spohn suspension for around $800, but you'll still have to either pay someone to modify your spindles for 1le or perform the modifications yourself. You can look at Dan Burk's article in the tech section on how to upgrade to 1le brakes. Another thing is that the replacement brake pads for 1le calipers are twice to three times the price of normal front pads. All in all though, you still come out a hell of a lot cheaper than the ridiculous prices for a Baer brake setup, which is essentially the same setup with their name stamped on it. I'm not trying to scare you away from changing over because I don't regret doing mine. I just thought I'd let you know about what you're looking at price wise to actually do it.

Read this tech article on 1LE brakes. And if there is anything you don't understand, then let us know.

With your car being an 89, it should have the pbr aluminum rear calipers, which is the same rear disc setup as the performance package(1le) cars from 89-92. The 1le setup(twin piston aluminum caliper w/12 inch rotor) on the front was a rare factory option, not an aftermarket setup. The master cylinder on your car should be the same. The proportioning valve for 1le is slightly different, but yours would work. And yes, the brake hoses, just the flexible rubber lines, are different.
