they weld around the flange for the lca's......along the rocker pinch weld down the ouside length of the connector, and up in the front where the fit against the floor pan
so yes, they weld along the rocker sill like the spohns do.....all you need to do is stitch weld it every few inches....be careful not to blow the sheetmetal appart....turn the voltage down

yikes.....i wouldnt try that one....i have that setup.
the lift bars and subframes are designed to work together....theres not much area on the round tube to weld the lift bar crossmember too, and even if you gusseted it, i highly doubt the geometry would be right, considering the difference between the 2 sets of frame connectors....i've installed both

I chose the Alstons for my third gen, but I got a set of the SSM lift bars for my 69 Camaro, and I'm quite impressed with their pieces. Quality parts! Now I just need to take them out of my bedroom, blow the dust off of them and get them on the car one of these days!
