I had the non Z-rated Performance Friction pads. They were ok when warm, but didnt stop well when cold. I wouldn't recommend them.

I had the PF carbon metallics... same deal almost nothing when cold but much better when hot. I would not recommend them either. I like the Bendix MKD-154 waaaaaay better.

I had the Z rated pads on my Firebird... same story, kinda sucky when cold and the liked to lock up pretty quickly once the eventually warmed up. I have the standard replacements on my Malibu now, they're about the same as the stock GM pads.

I would recomend the Hawk street pads, their autocross/road coarse/street pads are pretty grabby and noisey.

I bought a set for my old truck a few years back and really liked them (non Z-rated). They seemed to work fine for me hot or cold. Before I bought 'em, I couldn't lock up my brakes no matter how hard I stepped on the pedal, and I tried many different pads in the past on this vehicle. They also didn't make any noise, lasted much longer, and produced hardly any dust build up on my front wheels. All this considered, I may install a set of these on my new truck when it's time.

I have them on my Suburban and it was night and day. They worked WAYYYY better than stock and firmed up the pedal too. They also made trailering much nicer when it came to stopping.

I have used the PF Z-rated pads on my IROC for the last two years with very good resuls. Nice stopping power with no lock-up and also no brake dust on the wheels. I don't even notice the cold performance any more, its just takes a couple of stops to warm them up. It also helps to have a good rear brake set up.

I had them and they sucked ***. I swapped to a set of Bendix Titanium Metallic pads and WOW what a difference. The bendix pads rock.
