brake upgrade
I only have the 15 inch wheels and drums in the back. I don't wanna put a different rear in the car to have disks because i'm sick of changing gears. So my question is what are some of the cheaper brake upgrades that actually work without having to get a $800.00 new set up? It does sound rediculous though that I put all this money into my car to go fast but I don't want to spend the money for good brakes!

that is a very interesting article. the only part I dont like is installing the proportioning valve, using flares and such. It sounded like it could get a little complicating. anbody done this mod? how easy was it?

both front and back. I read an article in I think super chevy and I think they used a suburban, but raybestos had a brute force kit that they put on it and they said it worked great. it was new pads, shoes, rotors, drums. can't find a kit for our cars though. they said alot of police forces use it.

You need to look into the C4, C5, 1LE, and LS1 front brake upgrades, and also look into the new Wilwood front brake package Spohn has put out. For the rears, look into upgrading or swapping out your brakes for a '89-97 PBR rear brake system, that's all you need back there. Those will give you a wide range of kits and budget options for you. Third gen police cars used the 1LE braking system. Changing out rotors and pads will indeed help to give you better brakes, but what you need to do is increase the size of your stock rotors, which is how braking force is really increased. Ditch those 10" rotors for a nice set of 12" or 13"s, that'll do the trick.
Sorry, can't help you with the prop valve issue, haven't done it.

i'm sorry i didn't mean the third gen camaro cop cars. I ment like police blazers, and other vehicles without performance brake options. I wonder if the cops with a third gen 1le know how lucky they are
