Like the title sez, how much, any adverse effects if i wrap the coil in a heater hose ? These isolators are stock, and my TT II's sit a wee bit high in the back.

if they are the original pieces they are already pretty worn i'm assuming. i purchased new ones and put them in mainly to keep noises down. after a year of break in the springs settled and i am good

maybe 1/4 inch i would guess, they are pretty thick but i didnt wont to take them out because they seem to add support to that area up top.

Agreed, not to mention that they are good dampers of sound and vibration. They are about 1" thick. My sportlines rattle a bit in the isolator so I addedsome hose around the top coil to make up for the diameter difference. It is a lot easier said than done and the coils are pretty tight and won't accept a hose with ease. You will have to split the bottom a bit but you will get it to work.

You want a better stance. The solution....ground control adjustable ride height kit and you can keep the isolators.

My rear was a little high too after installing new shocks. A little more work but what I did was cut a 1/2 coil from the top of the spring with a cutting wheel, then after letting the spring sit in a bucket of water to get good and cold, used a torch to heat the end just enough to flatten it out. Let it cool, paint it and install. It dropped the rear 1/2 - 5/8 in. I didn't want to go crazy with it, just wanted to level it out. So it looks better and the ride feels the same as before.

the only thing those rubber rings were meant more was to reduce noise and vibration. Though after I took the out I didnt notice really any noise or vibration O_o. I took them out when I had a prokit also to lower it a little more. And also to get rid of rubber between the spring and the frame.
