SLP will hopefully be making ZR1 wheels in 17x9.5" for Third Gens

The response below is to my e-mail regarding the possibility of SLP producing ZR1 wheels that fit thirdgens in a size larger than 17x8". It looks like they are taking customer comments and turning them into a plan that will benefit third genners:

Oh yeah - send them e-mails regarding interest in the wider wheels - it can only help.

Thank you for your interest in SLP Performance Parts.

The decision to offer the new ZR-1 wheel in a 17 x 8" size grew out of our
desire to make the wheel a direct bolt-on for as many applications as
possible. Based on customer feedback, however, it would appear that there
may be a viable market for larger sizes as well. As a result, we plan to
look into the feasibility of offering the wheel in a 9" and/or 9.5" width.

I think everyone that sent an email about those wheels got back that same exact response, I know I did.
Anyways it is just a matter of time before they make every unique part of a fourth gen/vette a direct bolt on for third gens.

I really hope they do this. There's a really good market for it ... especially if they can sell lower than Group A sells their 9.5" wheels.

I think $800 for a set of 4 would be a good price. Even with a $200 tire, a set would run $1,600. Saves about $300 over needing spacers.
