popping noises...tierod?

excuse my ignorance in relation to suspension. this seems like a stupid question...

i can hear a distinct popping noise from the front of the car occasionally when i drive over bumps and inclines while turning. i suspect it is the tierod. correct?

my car has 180,xxx miles, and i'm pretty sure everything is stock as far as suspension goes. should i just save up for an entire suspension overhaul? or just a front suspension overhaul? and what all should i make sure to replace?

thanks.

I would definitely suggest an entire overhaul. With that many miles on a stock suspension, I guarantee everything needs to be replaced. Parts should include:

inner/outer tie rods
centerlink
idler arm
ball joints
shocks/struts
springs
front/rear bushings
upper strut mounts
