Rear End Assembly 4th gen to 3rd gen

I have a guy I work with who has a 03 T/A Ram Air 3.73 rear end. I have a 92 convertable. Has anyone done a rear end swap like this? Is it more of a pain then it is worth?

It's no problem at all.

When I had Moser build my 12 Bolt I had them build it for 4th gen spec. It is just a little wider. Everything bolts up to the same places though. Now I just have to run wheel adaptors on the front wheels, 4th gen wheels fit on the rears.

No they never was a 03 t/a made, but the e- brake will need some work. I am doing the same thing and someone needs to make a design for the ebrake braket some we can copy it.

There was no 03 F bods and there wasn't a stock iussue 3.73 gear. Sounds like you better double check what it is that you are getting. Find out if he had those gears put in.

Opps my mistake

That was incorrect information on the rear end. It is a 2000 with 3.42 (changed to 3.73). My mistake. But thank you for the help and clarifacation guys.

LOCAL STUFF = LOCAL BOARD.

there has to be a local club near you. even if its 4thgen, join it, listen and make friends.

then you can get stuff like that... cheap too.

other then that.... start searching the national boards, and watch your shipping costs.
