Hey, My car has new tires, shocks/struts, discs and pads.
It got an alignment.. tho the car simply wont stop pulling
to the right.. sometimes left.
Im confused
.. my instincts tell me the alignment
was poorly done.. tho the mechanic said the big tires follow the road. I dont trust him.. tho dont want to bash someone for
nothing..
Any experience with such an Issue?
Tnx

Bigger tires do tend to follow the road and the grooves in the road more than skinny tires. Check the grade of the road when it pulls. Cars not just the ones with wide tires tend to follow the grade anyway. You can change the camber or caster in an attemp to elimate it in one direction but the road pull will be twice as bad on roads that are graded the oposite way.

well then, i guess I should move cause most of the time, the steering wheel is slightly tilted for the car to go straight.
THo sometimes it drives no problems..
I guess those shocks really plaster the tires to the ground..

What's it like on a realy good road.
I have 275s on the front and my car will grab any imperfections in the road but on a smooth road I can take my hands the wheel and the car will go straight until something in the road deflects it.
Sometimes it'll get on one of those grooves that trucks make in the centre lane and the car darts right and left but it's pretty obvious to me when it's the road causing the problem because otherwise it cruises fine.
Could be that you've got worn front end parts too and new/better tyres & shocks etc will accentuate any other problems in the suspension.
If most of the time you have the wheel tilted on good roads there could be a problem.

it could also be in the alignment, most alighments have a slight diffrent caster settings right/left to make up for the crown in the roads normaly about .5* extra caster on the right.
check for warn parts, i would also try to find out what exactly the specs are that the car was aligned to.

collapsed brake hose causing the brake to hang and pull the car???
