Is there any advantage to running a wonderbar, aka steering brace, for drag racing? I can only think it would add extra weight to the front end and be a slight disadvantage like the front sway bar. What are your thoughts? If there are no advantages I'm gonna pull mine off and sell it.

Not exactly any advantages in a straight line but the weight is negligible and, leaving aside the handling benefits, it does help prevent cracks from developing around the steering box area during the course of ordinary driving.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and remove it and put it in the every little bit helps catagory. With my relatively skinny tires up front and drag radials in back I don't think I'll be doing much corner carving, especially with no front sway bar. This baby's gonna hook though. Anyone interested in a like new TDS wonderbar?
