Okay guys, I just got my new snyper rims. 17x8 up front and 17x9 out back. If you had your heart set on these tires like i did you most likely will be disapointed. Many sizes are on back order and they are going to stop making some. The size for the 17x8 has been suspended. The guy at conrads here in cleveland said he should have some, but numbers are gettin tight. I will know for sure tomorrow if they will have them. Thus, do your homework. :lala:

 

Why not get the Egale F1- GS. They are plentiful and have prefect sizes for both your wheels. Thats what I run on my snypers and couldn't be happier.

 

Those are great tires, but the GS-D3's are very different. Best traction in dry and wet. Very stickey with an awesome tread.

I will most likely get them for my next tire. When I got the F1 GS these were just comming out. I geuss they are the best tire goodyear has out. Besides ones for racing applications and high end exotics.

 

I bought a set of GS-D3s last year 275/40/17 and all I can say is yes they grip the road like glue. The best part is my car hooks on the 1st to 2nd shift instead of going sideways.

Those look really good. How are they rpice wise compaired to the F1 GS's? I paid 250 a peice for the rears and 170 a piece for up front.

 

I have been using Sumitomo HTR Z11 245/45/17 tires with a very similar tread pattern for the last four years. Very good wet ,dry and traction at half the price of the Goodyears. And by the way Sumitomo is part of Goodyear before you knock the brand, They porbably gave Goodyear the tread design.

I paid 191 for the fronts and 205 for the back. But, I got them from Conrads. I am not sure if they are a national chain, but they are really huge here in North East Ohio. The guy who was selling them was completely in shock at the price, he said that after paying to mount and balance them they were making no profit. They were actually cheaper than Tirerack after installation, balancing and shipping. I actually got a quote from NTB for 306 a piece for the back tires!

 

what did you do to get that price!?
was it a special going on or a miscalculation on their price sheet or what?

 

I have the gs-d3s in 245/50 16" they are great. And only $150 a piece.

 

The guys says that he thinks it is a miscalculation and that it is almost at cost prices. If you are ever in Cleveland or the surrounding area I highly suggest calling them before you come and setting something up. They are a huge chain with almost 20 stores so they are very reputable.

 

Not to mention that I got a coupon for a $60 mail in rebate from Goodyear's website. As a result I am getting the tires for less than cost.

 

Im bringing this back from the dead cause i just bought some snypers same sizes and i been looking at those tires. What sizes was it that you got was it 275/40/17 for the rear and 245/45/17 for the front ? So you dont think tire rack will have them i will have to call. How do you like them so far....

 

I put 275/40/17s on all four corners with no rubbing problems.
