do disk brakes = positraction too?
FOund som third gens at the salvage yard with factory disk brakes installed on rear end. If a third gen has rear disks, does it have posi too? How do i tell if it has a posi in it? what do i look for? I know there is a hard to read casting number on the passenger side axel tube. Just wondering..... might head back over there tomorrow and get some new projects. If i get the rear with disk brakes, and the proportioning valve, should the front and rears have the proper brake pressure to operate, or should i still get a wilwood brake proportioning valve?

Not necessarily...I've seen many 2.73 open rears with discs. Just have to check the RPO codes or open up the differential and take a look to be sure.

Disc brakes (J65) & Limited slip (G80) are different RPO items and are Not required options for each other. So you can have one without the other. GM did stange things with options.
