need answer fast:gta tire size
hey guys, I have the gold honeycomb gta wheels and I have the stock 245/50/16's on there now-their bald and I'm going to get new tires-but what I wanted to do is lower the profile to about 245/45/16-would that fit or would I have to go down to a 235/45/16-not sure if that size exists but I need an answer fast! thanks in advance!
i'de go with 245/45/16's, not very many tires in the 245/50 size, but tonnes in the 45 series. Pretty much every company sells 2-3 sets of performance tires in that size.
Check out tirerack.com they have kumho 711's in 245/45/16 for 55 bucks. Its a steal. Plus its Z rated. The rest of the 711's are H rated. Im getting myself a couple pairs. I cant afford not too. My other fav is the S0-2's and S0=3's by bridgestone, awsome sporty tires. Tad expensive tho.
Oh ur speedo will be a bit fast, but hopefully itll make u slow down a bit tho (less tickets and less dangerous). Also a smaller tire has the same effect as a more aggressive rear end value, ergo, more torque (to the ground that it, due to mechanical advantage, your engine stays the same of course) . Fuel economy will be a bit worse. In the range of 2-3% tho so its not even an issue.
have a good one. Post some pics of your car, or message me a link to them. Im interested in these mods of yours (i drive an 89 gta)
