1986 Trans Am - want to go to 17's or 18's

1986 Trans Am

What specs do I need to know about upsizing to 17's or 18's? Offsets, and I would need to go to bigger tires...what is the best option for the 17's or 18's?

Thanks for any help

i think I have a 0mm offset on my rims. I ran 17x9 all the way around.

They said something about I might need to adjust the car to put 17x9 on the front but it bolted on just fine. No rubbing or anything out of the ordinary so I don't know what they were talking about

Your car is sitting pretty high...if you lowered it some more you would likely have to crank in some negative camber to stop the fronts from rubbing the tops of the fender. That's probably what they meant.
