Turn up the idle.

The problem with the cam isn't the lift; it's the duration, and when the duration occurs.

How much vacuum do you have at idle?

You could swap in an electrically assisted master from a newer car or you could try using a vacuum reservoir.

I own that pump dankhound said something about an electric booster, like it replaced the need for a vacuum operated booster.

The first cars that come to mind are the hybrids. No vacuum when the engine is off. They were also on some cars and trucks esspecially the disiels over the years. I would start out with a vacuum reservoir and if that doesnt see to do any good look into the vacuum pump or electric assist brakes.

I just realized i forgot another alternative for power assist. Hydraulic.

You can read about them all here
