tire sizes....
I know this question has been asked 1000 times and i did search and i found PLENTY of info on what i wanna know but people get off topic so fast and its gets kidna confusing. I have a 92 z28. The wheels are 15x8. Will 275/60r15 fit nicely and not rub in the rear?
By the way. I am not a newbie that jsut got into cars, I am a ford technican in Queens NY. I do build cars. curently finishing my 450 whp nissan 240sx. and my 427 small block that will be fitted into my half tubed 1986 rx7.

You can't put a 275mm wide tire on a 7" rim, its just not safe. The max you can go is 265mm, but even that is not advised. If you want 275mm wide tires go with atleast a 8" wide rim.

yes, they were definately changed, and also the front end has been lowered and perhaps the rear raised as well.
see my sig for link to pics of stock wheels and ride height for 90-92 z28.

to answer the question, a 275 will not rub. but your looking at a T rating and you shouldn't mount wide tires on a 15x7 wheel. if you want to stay with 15's, you should get atleast an 8.5 inch wheel and mount on some 295's. i've heard some companies are disc. the 295 sizes though.
the wider the wheel, the more you'll equalize the sidewall with the tred which is a good thing. too small a wheel will cause the "bulge" effect in the sidewall and can cause the tire to dismount around cornors.

no, i don't. i see so many tires a day it makes me sick. if you got a nasty bulge that does a concave in to the wheel, thats bad. its like mounting a 295 on a 15x7 then mounting it on a 15x10. you should never mount a 295 on a 15x7... why? the bulge effect. on a 15x10 it seperates the walls apart and they have less shift around cornors.
