SFC question....
ok this may be a stupid question but i dont know the answer so why not ask?
alright so ive been wondering why hasnt anyone made a chromoly box style SFC for our cars?
and also if chromoly is stronger than mild steel, why is the wall thickness on tubular CM SFC's reduced to .083? ya it saves weight and maintains the same strength as a .120 wall mild steel tubular SFC but dont we want something much stronger? why dont manufacturers keep the chromoly SFC's with a .120 wall thickness and of course keep the same OD as the mild steel ones so lets say 1.75"OD? if this is possible to do i could only wish someone would manufacture this as a set of tubular SFC's (1.75"OD x.120 wall thickness).
