thunder racing lowering kit????

ive looked at this kit, and conteplateing getting it, but need some info.......i was thinking of the bolt on control arm brackets, now i dont know alot about suspesion, in fact not much at all..so where exactly are the lower control arms, and how does the adjustable panhard rod come into play?? and the springs are self explanitory! has anybody else bought this, im assumeing so, how did it work out with it?

and if i buy these products i do plan on taking it to a proffesional!!

there is a lower control arm on each side of the car, going from the body to the end. it all has to do with the geometry of the suspension. stock the contorl is horizontal. if you lower the car without lowering where the control arm mounts, it is now lower on body side and higher on the rear, this is bad. the brackets have 2 places to put them. horizontal, which is better for handling, or with the rear mount lower then the body mount, helping straight line traction

here is a picture of the rear suspension
the jack stand is under the forward mount spot of the lower control arm, the rearward mount is just to the left of the shock mount next to the wheel
the lower brakets the kit comes with lower the rear mount to help the angle stay close to what it is when you lower the car, like KagA152 said it has to do with the geometry, when you put in a spring that is lower the lower control arm now has a different angle, these relocation brakets solve this problem.

theres a lower control arm in the front too. theres also upper control arms, but our cars dont have those. if youve seen a 1st, 2nd, or 4th gen front suspension, they have uppers which connect on the top of the spindle. heres a pic of a 1st gen set up

4th gens have the same rear. if you look at the rear of a 1st or 2nd gen, they have upper control arms in the back, which attach on the pumpkin, or ive seen rwd imports that have them more outboard, and jeep theyre in the middle of the axle tube. i cant find a good pic of this setup, but i bet somebody on here has one
