braking: car pulls to one side then straightens itself
hey guys
under moderate to heavy braking, the car pulls hard to the right for about 3/4 of a second, then straightens itself. it jerks the wheel to about 2 o'clock.
i'm thinking the drivers side caliper is sticking, or maybe the rubber brake line is expanding/bubbling? any suggestions or other ideas before i get to down to working on it today?
thx

Cool, glad to see you put that in the FAQ's, Ed! My front hoses were "only" 5 years old, and I still had to replace 'em. The rubber was cracked to hell, and the line was ready to burst on one side!
annother thing you might want to check are the swaybar endlinks...one of mine was in horirble shape and would pull to one side under med-high braking curcumstances...sometimes really really bad...at first i thought iwa s an alignment, but after taking the wheels off to work on the brakes i see here the bolt was bent and bushings were pushed up inside eachother...
of the 4 3rd gens that I have worked on/seen worked on.....that is the most common problem with them all...the bushings form energy suspension cost a whole 9.99 for the front and 9.99 for the rear (AutoZone)...so they are too cheep to not replace...or oyu can get the whole kit that has the bushings bolts and washers for like $15, its a relaly good deal...
