WS6 rear brakes with 4th gen rear

Hey guys, did searching but couldn't find something similar.

I have a rear end from 97 camaro. Is it possible to put WS6 disk brakes on it? If it is possible, is it worth it? Or should I buy something newer, like LS1 brakes?

This car will be a daily driver, but will also see some roar racing. What are the sizes of WS6 rotors?

I take it the rear is currently without brakes?

I'm not sure what you're thinking of as "WS6" brakes. There's 2 styles of discs on 4th gen rears: the '93-97 LT1 style and the '98-up LS1 style. Both are 12" but the LS1s are thicker and use teh internal drum e-brake. Since it's a 4th gen rear, both will bolt on easily and therefore I recommend whichever type you prefer. If you have a 3rd gen rear, I recommend the LT1 style as they're easier to adapt to the rear.

For complete brake setups for a decent price, look here:

I have 97 rear end (and you guessed correctly without brakes). I found 89 Bird (little fact I probably should have mentioned) with WS6 package.

I was wondering if those 3rd gen brakes would fit and be any good. Or if I should go with a 4th gen setup in the rear.

Those '89 'Bird "WS6" rear discs are essentially the same as the LT1s and all are the "same" from '89-97 with a little exception of the e-brake cable bracket. Yes, those brakes will work but you'll need the correct 4th gen cast metal backing plates which are also different from those on the '89 which are pressed plate steel. Other than that, you're good to go and the e-brake cables should also bolt right in. The brakes will perform well unless the calipers need attention.
