Basic info on suspension mods wanted
I'm just now putting together my wish list for suspension mods. I've noticed that the basic SFCs are a popular choice, but I've also noticed that there are different types of SFCs.
For a few bucks more you can get some that have the right and left pieces connected together. Is that a specialized part that would put limitations on my car's rear suspension?
My car's intended purpose would lean toward autocross as opposed to drags, but I'd still like a suspension that would allow strip use with some minor mods.
Steer me in the right direction
Thanks

If you are going for autocross type handling then you would definately benefit from a good set of SFC. SFC do just as there name implies, they connect to front to rear via steel reinforcement bars. Some of the better designs link the front and rear together in many places and add extra support around the more needed areas like the front mount of a rear lower control arm. So basically, SFC are not going to limit anything on your suspension because they are not a suspension part, they are a frame part.
A good set of SFC should be a start. Check with a rule book for the class of competion you want to compete in because they may have certain rules about that stuff you need to comply with. I am not even going to try to recommend brands because I made my own. SO I don't know whose are good. Those kind of questions are reserved for the "search" button because it is an endless debate around here.
Then you would probably like a new set of higher rate lowering springs. Poly bushings in the front control arms, good shocks/struts, strut tower braces are nice, I wish I could still use mine, damn HSR!!!
The list goes on. Hope that helps...
