draging brakes

I replaced the rotors and pad, went for a test drive of a couple of miles when I got out there was smoke coming from the left front wheel. Put on a new caliper went for the same test drive and the left side is still hot. I checked the right side and everything looks good. Any ideas?

If you haven't done it already, I'd replace the other side soon. It can't be too far behind the other one's condition. Plus, it'll help keep braking pressure equal.
