9bolt rear calipers

Who has rebuild kits for the calipers for the 9bolt rear brake systems. thanks, Cocacolakid

9 bolt brakes are no different from the 10 bolts.

What the

U sure about that. I have a 9 bolt rear end with disc brakes and a 10 bolt with disc brakes and they aren't the same.

No doubt one set has cast-iron calipers with 10.5 inch rotors and the other has PBR's with 11.7 inch rotors.

Apeiron is right, although not really clear: All the brake systems are "the same", but just used on different rears. IE, all rear disc brake systems are the same from '83-'88 regardless of rear (Iron Moraine calipers) and all PBR rear brakes are the same on 9 or 10 bolts from '89-92.

Coke: Auto Zone, other parts stores, and the dealer will have rebuild kits...just tell them what car you have. But if you have '88-older 9 bolt disc brakes, install the GM recall kit in them while you're at it, you'll be glad you did.

what is the GM recall kit? I just bought a Disk rear out of a 87 GTA, an I am redoing the brakes and I ahev never heard of a recall kit.

If you have 82-88 rear brakes, I wouldn't get a rebuild kit from anywhere but the dealer, just to be sure that you get the updated parts.
