Hollow front sway bars; Anybody else notice this.....

I was looking at/comparing a 34mm and 36mm front sway bars both of which are hollow. I noticed that the vent or drain holes were on opposite sides. The holes on the 34mm will face upwards when mounted while the 36mm one faces down to the ground.
Both bars are orientated the same way (bow in the middle is down towards the ground) so it's not how I'm looking at them. I have a 34mm currently on the car and its drain hole is pointing up also!

I would think having the drains facing down is far better than having it face upwards! Kind of defeats the purpose other wise! Maybe the 34mm bar(s) need an extra drain hole in the middle at the lowest point.....dunno

Is this a GM mistake or am I missing something here?

I would like to here others observations and comments on this....

Mike
