Spohn sway bar

I have a friend who wants to buy my spohn swaybar but he has a 4th gen rear w/ the 4th gen swaybar. the spohn is the 1 inch and i dont know what the stock one he has is. i see that they are interchangable but he thinks that it will not work as well as the 4th gen stock swaybar because the housing is two inches bigger on each side. Which one will work the best?
