Bleeding stock fronts?

Is it me or is the caliper design just retarded. Why do they have the bleeder pointed at the strut? A monkey could have designed a better system of servicing.
The only way to get the clear vinyl tube onto the bleeder is to put a kink in it! Does anybody see this as a stupid design? I was by myself and didn't have any help so tomorrow I'm either going to get some speed bleeders or remove the caliper to bleed it.... how stupid.
