Parking Brake Dilema
I did the whole ls1 swap last winter, and was using the ls1 cables with some extra cable and cable clamps. kinda scary, and kinda very ghetto. so i ordered the cables for a 91 disc car with 1st design lenth. they arrive and the end where they connect to the divider is completely different then what was on my car, and what the ls1 had. i made a crude sketch, what was on my car with drums on the left, the new cables on the right. does anybody have a part number for the divider that will work with these cables?

No part #; but I have a 83 car, and the cables that match the right-hand dwg, fit right up into it.
I have about a 91 or 92 PBR disc rear in my 83. It came to me with the parking brake cables still attached, soo I just re-used them. They worked so perfect, I didn't even realize at the time, that any of these parts were ever any different; it was just as if they were menat to go there. I didn't even have to re-adjust my parking brake after I put it all together.... about 5 or 6 clicks on the handle, and the car is held solid even on a backwards incline.
So, I'd suggest, go to the junkyard or the dealer, and get that center junction piece for an early car.

I have a 90 formula, it had drums and I did the ls1 swap. From all of the research I have done 90,91,92 all have the same e-brake handle(selfadjusting) and divider. The ends that are on the right are how the disk lines 1st design I got looked and they hooked right up to my divider? Strange.....
