Noise inside car when I drive ?

When I'm driving the car I hear like a squealing sound but only when it's bumpy. Could anything in my rear suspension make that kind of sound?

There is nothing in my car as far as loose items. I can only hear it when it's a little bumpy, but it's squealing. Anybody know what's wrong?

Is there a place where I can buy a Rear Suspension Kit or a rebuild kit?

Worn shocks can make a squealing sound - actually, I'd define it more as a squeaking. It's more pronounced when hitting bumps, although I'm sure that the sound could be almost constant if the shocks are sufficiently worn. Don't take my word on this, though - I'd see if anyone else offers an opinion.

Rear suspension kits and/or components are something that I don't know much about, but I'd start by checking the links at the top of the page (Spohn's, Thunderracing, etc.) or visit the Suspension / Chassis / Brakes board. The board is probably your best bet for information.

Hope this helps some.

Hello, I have the same problem, everytime I hit a bumpy spot in the road, I hear this metal to metal screech. It just started doing this when I replaced the fuel pump...so I'm wondering if the gas tank heat sheild didn't come loose and is rubbing on something...I would check there , or it could be loose exhaust - I'm not sure, but if anyone else has an idea I'd be sure to look...

As far as rearend suspension kits, they don't really have much to choose from - however you could replace your lower control arm bushings, panhard bushings, sway bar mount bushings and endlinks...That would pretty much cover a "rebuild" kit and I'm sure it would tighten things up back there too....just my .02

i would suggest getting new bushings all around your whole car... i have a major problem with noises... they drive me totally insane... lol... so i am getting spohns SFC's and a full energy bushing kit for my car... also make sure u get any greasable bushing u can because they make less noise ecspecially with poly bushings.... also you may have bad shocks, springs or the rubber boots on the springs could be worn out and dry rotted... these are very common problems with any older car... and the gm thirdgens arent the quietest cars...lol... some noises just dont go away.. (body noises, doors, windows, ) without some other fine tuning...
