Bubble flared lines...

Can anyone tell me how much difference there is between a regular single flare and a bubble flare(or bell shaped flare). My '87 Firebird has the Bubble flare through-out the entire brake system and it's causing me great replacement problems.Any suggestions?Since I live in Canada,my local GM Parts/Service dept. doesn't carry any parts for the car;all DISCONTINUED.
I have to get the brake lines specially flared at an arm and a leg $$$$.

Hi Ron
I usually get the metric lines I need from the CTC on Smythe; they have them out by the car batteries near the service desk. Fitting for splicing the lines together are in one of the aisles across from the parts counter.
The flares are not interchangeable; the lines themselves come in SAE sizes (3/16", 1/4", etc) but the fittings for the bubble flares are all metric threads.

PS: I replied to your email from the 18th...don't know if you received it or not..

Pete

You could also buy a flare tool and do it yourself; I'm sure you can find an online parts store that ships to Canada. Try http://www.toolparadise.com and type "ISO FLARE" into their search box. That'll give you two companies & part numbers for ISO/Bubble flare tools... then all you need is the lines and a bender.
