HELP! 4th > 3rd Gen Wheels!

I am sure this has been asked before and I found a couple of answers when I did a search but I need to get an answer QUICK so that I can buy these wheels so I dont have a lot of time.

Will 245-50-16s Wheels off a 1998 Formula Firebird fit on my 1984 Trans AM?!?!? PLEASE! Let me know! I need to know and now!

Axle/Gears: moser 9" 4.11
with 2 inch adapters they sure will. about $100 a pair or more.

so they will work without any kind of spaces or adaptions but they will stick out almost 2 inches? is it just a matter of looks or if there an actual performance issue that i am missing? hell i would not mind at all if they stuck out a couple of inches, that's what i want in the first place... any help is very much appreciated...

4th gen wheels REQUIRE the use of spacers if the 3rd gen is Stock, ie has the stock rear end.
In that thread, the picture of the red car with black wheels is running a 4th gen rear (which is about 2" wider on each side) with 4th gen wheels so no spacer is needed.

i had a set of 2 in spacers in the front and 1.5 in in the rear and i sold them to a member and he install the same whells 98 ta's
