Help get a smooth ride for daily driver
Sorry if this has been covered but all the posts i find are to get better handling/performance. I'm just looking to get my stock 120K 89 IROC daily driver to ride smoother on these harsh chicago streets.
I know very little about suspension parts/theory but maybe someone can help me out by posting a combo of parts to achieve what i'm looking for. And all i'm looking for is to get rid of the constant shaking when i'm driving on rough roads. And when i hit a pothole, the car feels like its going to fall apart. I have no problems sacraficing performance for a smoother ride.
I had my suspension looked at and i don't have anything broken, just worn. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

just get stock iroc spring replacements to replace the worn out ones, or get the RS springs. those are very soft.
Also, if you get the prokit from eibach and some adjustable shocks and keep them set on softest settings, the ride is nice. Still handles good and has the potential for more just by stiffening them up.

You might consider inspecting all the rubber: motor mounts, torque arm mount, and all bushings.

Dont bother with springs if your worried about the "falling apart feeling", subframe connectors will eliminate most of that and if thats not enough get "RS" springs also.
