next thing is front end rebuild
The next thing on my list of things to do to my Z 28 is the front end rebuild kit. I was thinking about getting this one from hawks with the poly bushings. http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...l?v=1&pid=9289
My car has 188 K on it and I dont know if any of the front end stuff has been changed. When I took the car to be inspected they said it was all passable but had play in it all. So I figure this would be a good thing to invest in. Has any of you guys used that kit from hawks for $ 200 or do you recomend another kit?

i agree with kat it is the more complete rebuild. hawks has no inner tie rods, ball joints ect ect. the spohn package is everything except springs and struts. which you may want to consider since your gonna be in it that far anyway.

The spohn one seems a bit pricy, but if it is worth the extra money i'll go for it. Does it come with the poly bushings? And has any body tried the kit from thirdgen resource that seems to have all the same stuff as the spohn?

You can also buy the parts individually. I would just get what you need to fix the play problems and save some $$. You can buy the MOOG parts from other retailers. IMO these kits are either for someone that had an accident, or for someone that wants to replace everything period.

I pieced all mine together but it was before all the sponsors cam up with complete kits. Also, if you install rear tubular parts (LCAs, panhard rod, etc.), the complete kits will give you rear parts you don't need. I used Moog and other top quality parts so maybe you should look into this way also.
