Question about hatch pull down motor

Ok my hatch pull down motor seems like its taken its last pull. I need some opinions should i just get another one from the junk yard for a quick fix or you think it would be wise to spend the 102 dollars from TDS . Also maybe just get a setup from the junk yard with no pull down?

I think the reason mine went out is cause when i painted it 2 yrs ago i got new weather stripping so it takes alot more effort to close it.

Check the rails the motor slides up and down on. Sometimes the plastic-or whatever it is cracks and causes the motor to work harder than it has to. Maybe someone knows what GM used to "lube" the rails from factory. It looks like soap to me!
