hey people i gotta 1986 sport coupe i'm doing the swap from V6 to V8. Right now the car is stock i gotta 350 turbo tranny and 355 waiting for it this summer the rear is a 10 bolt 373's i'll be getting a 9'' this summer to. What suspension and chassis parts will i need to do 11's? and hook decently. Where do i find one of those 3 point strut bars thats connects to the fire wall and strut bars? and whats needed to install most of this part upgrades?

 

welll first off you need the hp to go that fast . Is the car a street car or a racer. If its a racer you could gut the car and everything and probably get it to weight sub 3000 w/o driver. As for suspension , you could get rid of the front sway bar, get drag shocks , your gonna need a differnt torgue arm mount from the sponsor sphon. you could get lower control arms too. And an adjustable panhard bar. Thats a good start , someone else should chime in .

 

Like he said, is it going to be strictly race track car or street /strip or even just street car? You can do away lots of things if its strictly track car.
