Shock/Strut/Spring Combinations

What is the best shock/strut/spring combination for our cars? for both an aftermarket replacement, and a lowering replacement(about 1 inch).

in the Feb 04 Chevy High Performance they put edelbrock springs with Tokico Shocks, does anyone know if this is a good setup?

speaking from experience having cars in magazines as well as working for them don't always trust what you read to a T.

for that height out of everything i've tried bilstein hd and eibach pro-kit is the best but there are other opinions. just search a bit.
