v6 springs vs. iroc springs at the track.
got an 87 camaro sport coupe, originally a v6. it has the stock springs in it right now. i have dual exhaust with an h-pipe and am a little concerned about ride height. does putting iroc springs lower the car any? it has a v8/auto combo in it now.
with the v6 springs, i noticed, everyday driving is a little bit wild. pretty crazy body roll and everything else. what are some of the things i could do to help this without messing up the traction abilities that i have right now? (with my 275/60 drag radials, i really have no traction problems) but i don't want to sacrifice that if i can avoid it.
one thing i thought was to put some iroc springs on it and then put some pretty hefty sway bars on it, then just take the front sway bar off when i get to the track. is the iroc sway bar better than the v6? or will i have to go aftermarket?

everything about the IROC suspension is better than the V6... since it was a suspension package
If I was you... I'd go and look at some eibach springs. bilstien struts, an adjustable panhard bar, and WS6 swaybar

*NOTE* I am not necessarily looking to lower the car.
this car is mostly for drag racing, and i think that lowering it using springs will hurt my weight transfer capabilities. i am wanting something that can take the curves better than my car does right now, but not sacrifice so much weight transfer that i can't hook up at the track.
i also have dual exhaust and i think that lowering the car would make for some nasty daily driving.
i just bought a spohn non-adjustable panhard this spring, i don't want to buy another one.
here is my real question: Can I still hook up at the track with IROC springs?
i want my car to handle like a factory IROC around turns, but still have enough weight transfer capabilities so i am not blowing the tires off at the track. if this means taking the front sway bar off at the track so i can still get decent weight transfer, then that's what i will do. heck, i am driving around with no front sway bar as it is.

the springs help keep the wheels stuck to the ground. Thus less wasted tire spin... so better ET the better the spring rate. Eibach Pro-Kit will probably keep the same height, or even raise the car a teeny bit from the V6 springs, and they are the best spring rates of the eibach set. you can use the stock struts with them too if you so desired.

iroc springs will raise your car, and depending on your weight reduction, can get quite stiff (what im finding out now)
they worked great on my car for driving and the track, but with 125# off the front with a tubular front end, they are gettting taken out.
