SFC and Frame Ties
Ok, I have a 92 RS, I would like to know what do SFCs and Frame ties do, How would they help, and do I need both. Take it easy on me, I'm new to suspension and handling. (my other vehicle is a '79 chevy 3/4 ton)
Thanks for the help.

they help strengthen the frame of the car, you don't need both.
I've got spohn's SFCs but had them installed with an 8 point cage so i don't know how much they help by themselves, but i don't know one person that has anything bad to say after getting a set
do a seach, theres enough posts to keep you reading for weeks

theyre the same thing. as the name suggests, they connect the front sub frame to the rear one. heres a picture of spohn version.
there is another version which alston and mac make that connect behind the trans crossmember and go to the back to the frame rail instead of the lca mount. im sure somebody can explain better the pros and cons of each kind, and also do a search for lots of info

You need them Kyle...soooo do I
A friend of mine (Shaun90Iroc) on this board took me for a ride in his car and there is a night and day difference between the way his car handles with the SFC's and the way mine handles without them. If I wasn't a dumba$$...I would have gotten a set a long time ago instead of waiting...but thats ok since I plan to pretty much disassemble the car here soon anyways.

If you get the weld-in ones...take it to a shop that knows wtf they are doing to have them installed. PM me or something and I will give you a name and number of a place here to get them done at.
