its a good all aorund tire not the number 1 for traction but they have good treadwear and will work year round kinda small sizes but they will do the job my dad has 275/60/15s on his chevelle has had them on there for aorund 8 years and there still lookin brand new even witht he occasional (becoming more and more ocassional) burnout i ad them on my 89 when i bought it but they only managed to last me about 2 months

I have Radial T/As on my '71 and '73 Trans Ams and like them. They are a good tire for the money. The "T/A" on the tires also look good on Trans Ams

The rears seem to wear fast on cars with excess of 380 ft lbs of torque though .........................

Your info says you have a 383... those tires are wayyyy too small for a 383. You need some wider rims

There’s a story behind how I got these tires. one of my brothers friends has a 82 z28 and he bought a nice new set of rims for about 50bucks each because the auto store he worked at was closing and they were just on display. My brothers friend decided to sell he’s Camaro about a year ago so ever since then I’ve been nagging him to sell me the rims/tires, but he would never part with them. He wanted to sell them with the car for more money. so i gave up the nagging a couple of months ago but my brother with out my knowledge some how convinced him to sell them to my brother which them gave them to me for Christmas. The rubber is only a few months old(tread shows very little wear) and the rims are in mint shape (little scratch here and there but you have to be looking for them to find them) Anyways that’s how I came across these tires/rims. That’s for all your input! heres a pic of the rim. not the greatest of pics but they look really nice in person and on the thirdgen camaro.

P.S anybody know a good cleaner to use to get the dirt off the white lettering?

Oooh, very nice rims. I understand the story. Might as well drive with them I suppose. Its just a shame they are 15" rims and probably somewhat narrow since they have 215s and 225s on them.

I'd use that westleys white wall bleach cleaner and a medium hard bristle brush...hit it twice, then armour all or tire wet.

shaaazaaam!

Westley's is the shizzle my nizzle.

This is what I've always used on white walls, or even to get all the dirt/grime off a blackwall tire.

I ran 235/60/15s on 15x7 Firebird wheels on my old Nova. You can go taller, but I'm not sure how much wider you can go on a 7" wide wheel.

235 60 15’s were the stock size used later on the OEM 15x7’s. 255 60 15’s are about the limit without having too much sidewall bulge, and 275 60 15 is really a bit on the big side, but is still OK, because of the tall sidewall… the 275 50 15’s are really too wide, but you can get away with it successfully (they used to be rated for use on 7” rims, but are now rated for use on a min of 7.5” rims).

You can see pics that I posted of all of these in this thread:
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...0&pagenumber=2
(I’m sure that I have more if you want to see them, but it would take some digging and this should give you an idea)

FWIW, the pic of my TA with 255 60 15’s on the back has 235 60 15’s on the front, and the rest of the pics of my formula are with 215 65 15’s on the front (they’re all on some flavor of factory 15x7” rim).

At muscle car shows, I see them on many many vehicles. Pretty much the average tire, decent price, treadwear, grip. You can't go wrong with them for a daily driver, or something similar. My dad uses these for winter in the size of 235/60/15 all around.
