S&W 10 pt roll cage
i am ready to purchase a roll cage and i want to get the S&W moly 10 pt for my 91 Z but i do not like how the main hoop is set to be welded so far foward. i am tall and need my seat cocked all the way back so the cage will not allow me to do so if i mounted it like it is meant to be. i was reading some threads and saw that someone had an 8pt S&W cage and mounted it further back on the rear seat bumps like most cages are, but would this miss align all the other tubes if i were to do this with the 10 pt? i want the front bars to mount where they should and the rears also but i need that main hoop a little further back more flush with the sail panel. what can/should i do?

There are only a couple of tubes that are exact fit. Every thing else is 6-8" longer so you need to cut to fit depending where you're going to position all the bars.
No cage kit is an exact fit. They all require custom length modifications.
My main hoop sits on the hump for the rear seats. The main hoop is so far back you can't even see it through the door.

xpndbl3 - I just noticed you're in Orland.....can I ask where you had the cage done at? Sometime in the future I'll need a welder for a 8pt moly S&W to be installed and have no leads in the area.
Thanks,
