SFC weight.. any one ever weighed them?

im in the market for SFC's.

my main concern is strength/fitment/weight of them.

any one know which SFC on the market are the lightest and strongest? i dont want to add overly heavy tube to the car, but i dont want weak ones.

is there a set that is well balanced? i would assume(yes we all know what happens when we ***-ume) that the box type SFC's would be heavier than the tubular? am i wrong?

The weights of several of the brands have been posted on the board before. If you do a search for 'SFC+weight' you'll surely find them.

To be honest, you really shouldn't choose your brand of SFC depending on weight. Yes, you are adding weight to your car, but the benefits outweigh this by a great amount. Furthermore, the weight you are adding is very low down in position so it's not as if you're making the centre of gravity any higher or anything!

But, as with all these matters 'you pay your money and take your choice'.

Get the Spohn SFCs and have done with it - they are more than adequate and don't weigh that much.

I believe the shipping weight of my Alston's was ~25lbs.

Contact Lon @ TDS for an exact weight. I'm sure he'd be able to let you know.
