Need some help with BF Goodrich

Well one of the tires on the Car was out of round and then bubbles started appearing in the sidewall. I took it to have it inspected where BFG asked me to, and they said it was a bad tire. No impact marks, no puntures or anything. The belts were coming apart from the inside and the tire was literally falling apart. The tire itself has low miles on it and is only missing 2/32 of tread depth. The guy at NTB had to fight to get me any kind of adjustment. They didn't want to give me anything, and NTB finally got them talked into a 50% "goodwill" adjustment, but they said they would never do it again. I have always bought BFG tires whenever I have needed replacement tires. I just can't believe that they would treat a customer like this. I talked to a guy that worked at another tire shop that I used to be a mechanic at a while back, and he told me that this was the reason they quit selling BFG tires. He said they would give them **** everytime they tried to adjust a bad tire out for a customer.

All I am asking is you drop them a line or two about the way they treat customers. I told them after this set was gone, I would never buy another set of BFg's.

Thanks

Chris

I have had problems with BFG tires too....3 sets have had uneven tread wear. The centers would be worn down to nothing, while the corners were good as new. I've had the car in the shop many times trying to have the problem chased down, suspecting that the problem was the car and not the tires. To this day, I still haven't found a fix.

Sounds to me like you either have to much air pressure in the tires or you like sticking your foot in the thing all the time..

Ditto.

I just bought a pair of their drag radials that are mounted on some IROC wheels and are quite worn down. Both worn evenly.

Check your air pressure.

i had a similar problem with toyo. unfortunately only you know what happened. your tire store is the one that should take care of you though. if they were indeed new and mounted where you bought them you should have no issues with them fixing the problem.

Actually I bought them online from a place out in Cali. I live in MO so, I wasn't about to drive half way across the country for a tire..

yeah that's a mistake. buying things like that online gets you cheap prices but then you don't get the service. would have been better to go to discount tire or another large name dealer and have them price match but you live and learn. at least it was only one tire.

I keep the air pressure at 32. Same with my GTA, which has the same tires. The GTAs tires are fine. The 305 in the Camaro isn't very impressive so my foot isn't "in the thing all the time".
