why SBC and thirdgen mounts diff?
(talking about mount shells - the part that bolts to the block)
I have 1 thirdgen motor mount, and one from like a caprice or something.
From the block mounting pads, to the center of the hole for the long bolt, the mount for the thirdgen is about 3/8" less distance than the other mount.
Any idea why ?
I can't find my other thirdgen mount, so now I need to go junkyard hunting or something, or have a slanted motor. hah.
