Holy old thread Batman
I went with spacers from this guy on eBay:
http://stores.ebay.com/CompleteValue...eNameZl2QQtZkm
These spacers cost me half the money of the Skultes and they work great! They bolt on to the wheel hub and everything. So far I've been going for about a month and a half and zero problems. Like any other spacer, you have to take the wheel off and re-torque it after about 25 miles, but from there it's all good. Highly recommended!
You made a good choice going with the 17" SS wheels (I hope you got chrome
), I'm very surprised they aren't more popular.

That is the same guy I got my wheels from. Mine were also "blems" but they were $549 because they only had a few dust marks under the chrome. I had to look really close up at the wheel to find out where they were

Xaviar: We aren't talking about ZR-1s...these are the 10-spoke SS wheels, not ZR-1s.

I had a set of chevy caps on my ZR1 wheels, and Aaron had a set of pontiac ones... so we swapped. I think his came with the wheels, so they gotta be out there somewhere.

What is the offset on STOCK OEM GM 17x9" ZR1 wheels? What spacers should I use front and rear?

got my wheels put on yesterday, what a PITA!! i got my spacers from ebay, they got right on the back, but wouldnt fit over my front rotors! i was not in a very good mood at this point after not having a driveable car for about 2 weeks (clipped a tree and bent my old rim all to hell) so i took my rotor off, went to a good machine shop and said make it fit! 2 hours and 40 bucks later, went right on and fit great. looks awesome, i'll have some pics in a week or two.

read my last post. im not sure if they would fit on stock rotors, mine are autozone valucraft replacements, but i had the same problem, i took them to a machine shop and for 40 bucks they made them fit.

i think 17x10's are the smallest that can take a 315. not sure about 17x9.5 but unless i've been misinformed 275's are the widest that can go on 17x9s.

I've seen folks stretch 315's onto a 17x9" rim, but it was far from optimal. The tread was rolled over and pulled down into the sidewall, and the footprint was terrible. I'm sure cornering wouldn't be awe-inspiring either, since the sidewall was deformed. You can do it, but that doesn't mean it should be done.

285's on a 17x9 is not uncommon. Some guys go that route for a little wider tire. But I don't know about 295's. Might be pushing it.
